Photos and Information on Hill Palace..Cochin...An Old Palace in Kerala Turned To Archeological and Heritage Museum..

The place where once the Royal Family Of Cochin lived in its full glory..Now remains as a museum where all the valuable remainings of the old royal culture is kept..Along with so many inscriptions, sculptures, crockeries, weapons and so many things which waves light into the glorious past and a divine culture..

The palace is contained in a vast 52 acres of land. The buildings are done in the traditional kerala's ettukettu architecture and some in western arhitecture style.

Unfortunately i happened to be there in a cloudy low lit evening. I was afraid of the photos in such a condition, but came out not too bad. Thanks to the camera....

One more disappointment is their...Strict prohibition of photography inside the museum...You people have to go in to have a glance at those materials.. Anyway photography is allowed in the campus..

Their are soo many valuable things kept in the museum..So naturally the museum is guarded by securities and police..
Photography is prohibited strictly and we have to keep our cameras and mobile phones in the front office before going in.. The police men out their checked our pant pocket seeing the bulge of hand kerchiefs. Felt funny then, but got convinced after entering the museum for the things out their are precious..
