The continuation of previous hill palace photo gallery..This place is now an archaeological museum with much invaluable treasures and sculptures from the past cultures of Kerala..

If you interested in ancient scripts and carvings on rocks along with the inscriptions done on palm leaves, you should visit here..The place has Hindu epics written on old palm leaves strips tied together, which was used instead of books at that times..

Their are two types of deer in the park..You can see them much close..hmm... ofcourse their will be a fence in between.. Anyway nice creatures...

Here you can see the swords, Knives, and other weaponary used by the maharaja of cochin. Their are so many chariots and vehicles used at that time exhibited their. The architecture of the palace is astonishing with wooden spiral stairs, marbled and tiled floors etc.

Something strange i met out their was an iron casting in the shape of human body in the dungeon. It was hanged out and the purpose it was used for was more strange..Written out their that the culprits are locked in the hanging iron casting and starved to death in the dark room. Cant even think of such a punishment...

curvy path to the top of the hill through the gardens in hill palace ernakulam kerala india"The spiral roads winding upto the top of the hill..."

Contruction of roads to the top of hills are done like this to reduce the steepness!! Hmm you may know that....The garden out their is populated densely with soo many trees and plants.. Said that trees from other countries and medicinal plants are grown up here..

This place has been taken as the shooting locations for many malayalam films. Malayalam Films like Manichitratazhu, MunnamMura are shot here...You may have watched those films in which MohanLal plays the lead...

The main museum here contains a golden crown covered with diamonds, so many golden ornaments, gold coins, medals, silver cups, silver and gold coins used at that time etc.. There is a small silver tree and a big silver trophy in the museum. Most of the things are presented to the king by the foreigners.

The main attraction, the golden crown is presented by VascodiGamma to the emperor.All the things are kept in an airconditioned room with securities all around.
Their are so many other galleries showing sculptures, inscriptions of Vedas in palm leaves, Malayalam grammar, ancient stone carvings, paintings, chinease crockery, durbar hall, marble statues, sculptures in elephant tusk etc...


Have a visit...It won't be in vain.....
